Professional Evening with Industry (PEI)

The Diversity Organizations of the Jacobs School of Engineering come together every year to hold a unique event for companies to meet with the accomplished students of the Jacobs School of Engineering. Our five organizations have come together to create this exceptional annual event to build a bridge between all three sectors: the student, the professional, and the community. Company representatives are welcome to mingle with students through formal and informal spaces.

National & Regional Conferences

STEM @ UC San Diego takes part in annual conferences organized by oSTEM Incorporated and by oSTEM Region F, a collection of western chapters. Through these conferences, members can present in poster sessions, attend a career fair, and meet with LGBTQIA+ faculty and industry professionals. oSTEM @ UC San Diego's members have gained new knowledge, broadened their horizons, and made meaningful connections through attendance at these conferences, and look forward to attending the 15th Annual oSTEM National Conference in Baltimore, Maryland from October 16-19, 2025.

Qtorship & Committees

Qtorship is a program within oSTEM @ UC San Diego that strives to build a network between our members by pairing first and second-year students with upper-division students while upper-division students are paired with graduate students, creating a positive, affirming environment that encourages personal growth. The Transfer committee aims to help transfer students learn personal and professional navigational skills and feel a stronger sense of belonging in the UCSD student community during a new transitional period from previous colleges. Engiqueers is a committee that focuses on connecting queer engineering students together to best foster a community that can support each other socially, academically, and professionally in a sector of STEM traditionally known to be cis, straight, and male-dominated.
